Problem
-------
Just like locally administrating the BRICK, it should be
configured over an
analogous or digital (ISDN) dialup line.
Solution
--------
It's possible to reach the BRICK when using a simple terminal
programm. You
will get the same "login:"-prompt although beeing
connected indirectly to it
and not over LAN (with telnet) or a serial line connection.
With the standard S0-BRI-module you can reach the BRICK's
login-prompt when
dialing its telephonenumber, which is configured for login. The
terminal
program's settings for the ISDN-connection device should be
"X.75 transparent/
FOS".
With the extended S0-BRI-module "EBRI", it's possible
to reach the BRICK via an
analogous modem too, because this module enhances the BRICKS
features with
modem functionality. Like with the BRI-module one can reach the
BRICK's
login-prompt when dialing its telephonenumber, which is
configured for login.
The connection speed will be limited to 2400 baud.
At it's default configuration, the BRICK XS is equipped with the
standard
S0-BRI-module. The BRICK XM-router is equipped with the
S0-EBRI-module.
Although your configuration can differ from it, examine the
built-in modules
in the setup's basic menu, e.g.:
>Slot2:CM-1EBRI, ISDN Enhanced S0
