How do I configure a backupline over two BRI Interfaces or double BRI Interface.

Configuring an ISDN leased line interface in the Brick is similar to the
basic procedure. After setting the basic information 'leased line B1 channel (64S)'
you need to configure a WAN partner attached to the other end of the line.

BIANCA/BRICK-XM Setup Tool BinTec Communications GmbH
[SLOT 3 UNIT 0 ISDN BRI]: Configure ISDN Basic Rate Interface brick_bintec
________________________________________________________________________

Result of autoconfiguration: autoconfiguration disabled

ISDN Switch Type leased line B1 channel (64S)

D-Channel not used
B-Channel 1 leased dte
B-Channel 2 not used

The BRICK automaticlly creates a temporary WAN partner interface
namend according to the slot and unit the leased line was configured.
If the leased line provided by the Telekom is working well,
the state is 'up'!

Configure the Wan partner as follows:

BIANCA/BRICK-XM Setup Tool BinTec Communications GmbH
[WAN]: WAN Partners

Create an new Wan partner with same settings as the lesaed line!

At last we need a modification in the IpRouteTable. Metrics having values with a lower
priority have precedence! A lower metric means higher priority.
The dialup ISDN connection needs the higher metric!

If the leased line is down, it will be automaticlly switched to at the dialup line
and vice versa.
